WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO BE LIKE SOMEONE ELSE, THE BEST YOU CAN EVER BE IS NUMBER TWO.

You and I are born equal but also different. Do you want to stand out in the world? Then be yourself. Be what you really are. This is the first step toward becoming better than what you are now. “No man could be ideally successful until he has found his place. Like a locomotive, he is strong on the track, but weak anywhere else” (Orsen Marden). Choose to become yourself.

Avoid following the crowd. Be an engine, not a caboose. As Hermen Melville wrote: “ It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation. “Average people would rather be wrong than be different. We relinquish three-fourths of ourselves in order to be like other people. Conformity is the jailer of satisfaction and the enemy of growth. Did you’re know destined to be different? Dare to be different and follow your own star.

“Be yourself. Who else is better qualified?’ (Frank Giblin). Ask yourself two questions. If I I’m not me, who will I be? The more you develop your potential, the less you will become like someone else. Trying to be like someone else is self-defeating. One of your main purpose in life is to give birth to yourself. As long as you are trying to be like someone else, the best you can ever be is number two.

We can’t reach our destiny taking another man’s road. He who never walks except where he sees another man’s track will make new discoveries. “ Do not follow where the path may lead-go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” (Unknown).

“The more you are like yourself, the less you are like anyone else” (Walt Disney). You are like a tree-you must put forth the fruit that’s created in you.

You can’t be common. The common goes nowhere. You must be uncommon to be champions. Your responsibility is not to remake yourself, but to make the absolute best what God made. Don’t compromise yourself…..it’s all you’ve got. “almost every man waste part of his life in attempts to display qualities his does not possess” (Samuel Jonhson). Don’t make your life be continual struggle to be what you are not, and to do what you are not, and to do what you should not.

You are an unprecedented miracle. You are as God made you, and since He satisfied, you should be too.
